21 Days of Prayer & Fasting Prayer Guide (2025)
Day 1 - January 6: Our Community
● Scripture: Jeremiah 29:7 – “Also, seek the peace and prosperity of the
city to which I have carried you into exile. Pray to the Lord for it, because
if it prospers, you too will prosper.”
● Prayer:
Lord, we lift up our community to You. May it be a place of peace, safety,
and unity. Bless our neighbors, leaders, and local organizations. Help us
to shine Your light and serve others with love and humility. In Jesus’
name, Amen.
Day 2 - January 7: Parents
● Scripture: Proverbs 22:6 – “Start children off on the way they should go,
and even when they are old, they will not turn from it.”
● Prayer:
Father, strengthen parents to lead their families with wisdom and love.
Equip them with patience and guidance as they train their children in Your
ways. Comfort those who feel overwhelmed, and remind them that they
are not alone. Amen.
Day 3 - January 8: Children
● Scripture: Matthew 19:14 – “Jesus said, ‘Let the little children come to
me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such
as these.’”
● Prayer:
Jesus, we pray for the children in our community and church. Protect
them from harm and help them grow in faith and love. Let them
experience Your presence and follow Your path all their days. Amen.
Day 4 - January 9: Grieving and Sick
● Scripture: Psalm 34:18 – “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and
saves those who are crushed in spirit.”
●Prayer:
Lord, bring comfort to those who are grieving and healing to the sick.
Surround them with Your peace and assurance. Help us to be Your hands
and feet, showing compassion and care. Amen.
Day 5 - January 10: Local Businesses
● Scripture: Deuteronomy 28:12 – “The Lord will open the heavens, the
storehouse of his bounty, to send rain on your land in season and to bless
all the work of your hands.”
● Prayer:
God, we pray for local businesses and their leaders. Grant them wisdom,
integrity, and success. Help them to provide for our community and honor
You through their work. Amen.
Day 6 - January 11: Teachers
● Scripture: James 3:1 – “Not many of you should become teachers, my
fellow believers, because you know that we who teach will be judged
more strictly.”
● Prayer:
Father, bless and equip teachers as they educate and inspire others. Give
them patience and wisdom, and let them see the fruits of their labor in
the lives they touch. Amen.
Day 7 - January 12: Pastors and Spiritual Leaders
●Scripture: 1 Timothy 5:17 – “The elders who direct the affairs of the
church well are worthy of double honor, especially those whose work is
preaching and teaching.”

Lord, we pray for our pastors and spiritual leaders. Strengthen them with

Day 8 - January 13: Unity in the Church

Spirit through the bond of peace.”

Lord, we pray for unity in our church. Help us to love and serve one
another selflessly. Let our actions reflect Your grace, so we may work

Day 9 - January 14: Connect Groups
● Scripture: Hebrews 10:24-25 – “And let us consider how we may spur
one another on toward love and good deeds, not giving up meeting
together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another.”
● Prayer:
Father, bless our connect groups and the relationships formed within
them. Help us to grow in faith and community. Let these gatherings be a
place of encouragement, growth, and fellowship. Amen.
Day 10 - January 15: Local Churches
● Scripture: Matthew 16:18 – “And I tell you that you are Peter, and on this
rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it.”
●Prayer:
Jesus, we pray for local churches in our area. Strengthen their leaders,
unite their members, and empower them to be a light in their
communities. May they reflect Your love and truth. Amen.
Day 11 - January 16: Elected Officials
● Scripture: 1 Timothy 2:1-2 – “I urge, then, first of all, that petitions,
prayers, intercession, and thanksgiving be made for all people—for kings
and all those in authority.”
● Prayer:
Lord, we lift up our elected officials to You. Guide them with wisdom and
integrity as they make decisions that affect many. May they lead with
justice and compassion. Amen.
Day 12 - January 17: Church Volunteers
● Scripture: 1 Peter 4:10 – “Each of you should use whatever gift you have
received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various
forms.”
● Prayer:
Father, thank You for the volunteers who serve faithfully in our church.
Bless their efforts and remind them of the eternal impact of their work.
Give them joy and strength as they serve You. Amen.
Day 13 - January 18: Foreign Missionaries in Dangerous Places
● Scripture: Matthew 28:19-20 – “Therefore go and make disciples of all
nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of
the Holy Spirit.”
● Prayer:
Lord, we pray for missionaries serving in dangerous places. Protect and
encourage them as they share the gospel. Provide for their needs and
open hearts to receive Your Word. Amen.
Day 14 - January 19: Friends and Family Who Don’t Yet Know Jesus
● Scripture: Romans 10:1 – “Brothers and sisters, my heart’s desire and
prayer to God for the Israelites is that they may be saved.”

Jesus, we pray for our friends and family who don’t yet know You. Open
their hearts to Your love and truth. Use us as vessels of Your grace to

Day 15 - January 20: Marriages
● Scripture: Ecclesiastes 4:12 – “Though one may be overpowered, two
can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.”

Father, bless marriages in our church and community. Strengthen the
bond between spouses and help them keep You at the center of their
relationship. Heal any brokenness and deepen their love. Amen.
Day 16 - January 21: Mental Health
● Scripture: Philippians 4:6-7 – “Do not be anxious about anything, but in
every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your
requests to God.”
● Prayer:
Lord, we lift up those struggling with mental health. Bring peace to
anxious minds, hope to the weary, and strength to the weak. Surround
them with love and support. Amen.
Day 17 - January 22: The Global Church
● Scripture: Revelation 7:9 – “After this I looked, and there before me was
a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe,
people and language, standing before the throne and before the Lamb.”
● Prayer:
Jesus, we pray for the global church. Strengthen believers around the
world and let Your gospel spread to every corner of the earth. Unite us as
one body in Christ. Amen.
Day 18 - January 23: Revival in Our Nation
● Scripture: 2 Chronicles 7:14 – “If my people, who are called by my name,
will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their
wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and
will heal their land.”
● Prayer:
Lord, bring revival to our nation. Turn hearts back to You and heal our
land. Let Your Spirit move powerfully and transform lives for Your glory.

Day 19 - January 24: Those in Poverty
● Scripture: Proverbs 19:17 – “Whoever is kind to the poor lends to the
Lord, and he will reward them for what they have done.”
● Prayer:
Father, we pray for those in poverty. Provide for their needs and open
doors for opportunity. Help us to be generous and compassionate in
meeting their needs. Amen.
Day 20 - January 25: Forgiveness and Reconciliation
● Scripture: Colossians 3:13 – “Bear with each other and forgive one
another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the
Lord forgave you.”
● Prayer:
Jesus, help us to forgive others as You have forgiven us. Heal broken
relationships and bring reconciliation where there is division. Let Your
grace restore what has been lost. Amen.
Day 21 - January 26: Gratitude and Praise
● Scripture: Psalm 100:4 – “Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his
courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name.”
● Example Prayer:
Lord, we end this season of prayer and fasting with hearts full of
gratitude. Thank You for Your faithfulness and blessings. May our lives
continually reflect Your glory and grace. Amen.
